A Life in Stories
“Every life is shaped by the stories it inherits—and transformed by the ones it chooses to tell.”
For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the places where story, mythology, psychology, and the occult meet. Whether I am writing fiction, making films, teaching mythology, or consulting on creative projects, I return to the same questions.
What transforms us?
Why do certain stories endure while others disappear?
What hidden structures give them their power?
These questions have become the foundation of my work. They have carried me through novels, screenplays, films, lectures, courses, retreats, and conversations with writers and artists searching for the deeper shape of their own stories.
The Work
Storytelling has never felt separate from symbolic practice.
The myths that have survived across centuries are more than entertaining narratives. They are maps of desire, transformation, exile, sovereignty, grief, devotion, sacrifice, and rebirth. They remind us that imagination is not an escape from reality, but one of the ways we learn to inhabit it more fully.
That belief has guided every part of my career.
As a novelist and screenwriter, I have always been interested in characters who stand at thresholds—between worlds, identities, or ways of seeing. As a filmmaker, I have been drawn to horror and dark fantasy because they give symbolic questions a visual language.
Through The Forbidden Pantheon, I explore mythology not as history, but as a living conversation. Through Witching: The Art of Words, I share the creative practices that have sustained my own writing life. Through consultation, I help other writers and filmmakers find the mythology, magic, and invisible architecture already present within their work.
These are different expressions of the same pursuit: understanding how stories shape us, and how we, in turn, shape stories.
